In this painting I see a man who looks to be in his late 30s and he has committed suicide. I would say that he was rolled over or moved because all of his blood is beside him, not below him or on him. The colors in this piece are very relaxing and smooth which is strange because you would think that this piece would be like daggers put the paint on the picture. The shapes appear to be very organic, and the picture has low value. My interpretation of this piece is… that the artist is simply stating that no matter how much money you have (because the dead looks rich) you have your depressed problems. Yep that’s it. I’m right your wrong! So boooyah!! I would not hang this in my house because I’m a very positive person and that painting would just bring me down!!!!!
hi my name is abby. i am 16 and blonde. i like to dance. i dance just about anywhere at anytime. yep. im a pretty happy person and i like to make people happy. im a people pleaser. i like to have fun with everything and always be positive :)

Melodrama
a melodrama is a romantic, dramatic work with music mixed together. most of the scenes deal with heartbreak and lovestruck. most emotions work for it though. a good example would be soap operas.

Four Part Critique
1st piece::
i see a man eating a baby which is very over dramatic.
the colors are very dark and cynical. his eyes pop and make the piece look even more crazy.
the message i get would be that men have a wild side and they are completely crazy and arent nurturing to their young.
i would not use this painting due to the fact its soooo freakin scary!!!!!
this piece seems to come from the Romantic Era because it shows emotion, dramatic, and violence.
2nd piece::
i see a dying person writing some type of letter. maybe a will. its very subtle and calm even though it isnt happy.
the colors are very light and has a lot of organic shapes.
the message i am getting would have to be that people can die happy no matter what the situation is.
i would still not hang this in my house because it deals with death and i hate death.
this painting is from the Neoclastic Era because it is calm, morally uplifting, and shows honor.

Modern Era of Art
the term "Modern Era" means the present or recent times. the period consists from the 1860s to the 1970s. The term is usually associated with art to where the traditions of the past have been thrown aside in a spirit of experimentation. modern artists had a new way of seeing art and new ideas on the art. More recent artistic production is often called contemporary or post modern art. some example of artist in the beginning of this era would be Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Georges Seurat and Henri de Toulouse Lautrec. they all started this era. Some of the other artist in around the 20th century would have to be Henri Matisse and several other young artists including the pre-cubist Georges Braque, André Derain, Raoul Dufy and Maurice de Vlaminck

will you be my Valentine? :)
describe- color is everywhere!!
analyze- the element is shape and color. there are dones of bright secondary and primary colors and there are bunches of shapes
interpret- the artist was trying to make us feel special and excited and happy all together. i would call this spexappy!!! :)
judge- i would totally hang this in my room because it would make me happy

national geographic
picture one:
this picture is very unique. the contrast of the colors really speaks to me. the red umbrella with the black and white really pops out and the umbrella and the umbrella must have some type of symbolism. the shapes of the trees make me feel like im in the woods on a snowy day. i believe i would call this the re umbrella.
picture two:
i see a lot of black and white and nothing seems to pop. this picture seems calm and pulls attention to the piano. it seems as if someone is about to play a recital in the "wild." i would call this photo pelican keys.
picture three:
the color really stands out to me in this photo with all the primary colors. this photo reminds me of the northpole. i would call this photo santas colors.
picture four:
again the color stands out in this picture. this photo reminds me of the vatican and la fiestas. i would call this photo partido duro, morir joven which means party hard, die young.
picture five:
the organic shapes pop out at me. this photo reminds of the movie the hills have eyes very much so. i would call this picture alien land.
picture six: the texture pops out at me. this photo reminds me of the song rocketeer. i wold call this picture rocketeer.
picture seven:
the colors stand out to me very much. its so organic. this photo reminds of the caribbean and the rainforest. i would call this photo tucan whocan!
picture eight:
its VERY organic!! it is camoflauge!! it reminds me of how much i HATE snakes. i would call this photo the snake... who could.

think fast
one time me and taryn were in florida and we were innoccently sitting in the hottub minding our own business when acouple of guys came up to the hottub but were not that cute. so me and taryn decided we would flee the scene. but those stupid ugly boys followed us to the lazy river. we were like goodness whats wrong with these boys. it was fine with them following us for a little bit but the it got really really creepy. so we were trying to think fast to decide what we should do to get away from them. we decided very fast because they were coming right at us. we both thought lets go up for lunch!!! so we did and we got away :) i am definitely not someone who can think on my feet. i start to freak out and im not able to think. i freak out very easily. i can not be put under pressure or i could possibly have a panic attack.

My favorite experience over Christmas break
My favorite experience over Christmas break was two things... Taryns Christmas party and New Years Eve. At Taryns we did a lot of things. i got to wear a tacky Christmas sweater and this huge bow in my hair! it was awesome. we played dirty santa and i got some stuff. we went caroling and had a dance party. it was so fun! i danced the night away. i whipped my hair so hard that the next day my neck killed butt! all the girls spent the night and we were just going crazy. it was a night full of laughter and memories :) my second one was new years eve. i was going to have a party but i ended up inviting my best friend stevie and two guys named jeremy huehls and mitch knott. we were just going to chill at my house but then we gota call from this guy named alex hopewell to see if we wanted to come to his party. we werent sure if my parents would let me go so the guys and stevie figured out a plan. i would ride back to owensboro with them and spend the night with stevie. my parents were completely fine with it so it was a good plan :) we left after we ate homemade pizza. the car ride there was funny because me and stevie were in the back the whole time dancing and the guys never noticed. when we got there it was kind of awkward because this girl that is obssessive over jeremy was there and she was so mad i was there. me and jeremy are dating by the way. but anyways we just ignored her. hopewells was a lot of fun. we played games, watched the ball drop and i got my new years kiss... hehe. it was such i fun night. :) i would love to re-live it. on my way to stevies we played a game in the car and i swear ive never laughed so hard in my life. me and stevie didnt go to bed until around 5:00 haha we couldnt sleep. but anyways thats about it.
